The Natural History and Ethnography Museum The Ethnography Museum, founded in 1832, is the oldest in Cherbourg.

The collection of François-Henri Duchevreuil, an amateur archaeologist from Equeurdreville, provided the foundation for this museum that was first housed in the Town Hall.
