Let yourself wander the paths of the Ravalet story. Built during the Renaissance, the Château des Ravalet is situated at the heart of a park that stretches across 14 hectares (35 acres), accentuated by ponds and a nineteenth century greenhouse. The entire property is protected as an historical monument.
> The Italian Theatre
Constructed at the end of the 19th century and protected
as an historical monument since 1984, the theatre of
Cherbourg is one of the last surviving theatres built in the
Italian style. Come admire the beauty of the golden theatre, as it was nicknamed by the Cherbourgeois in 1882.
> Emmanuel Liais Park and Greenhouses
Come discover the hidden treasures of this getaway in the centre of town – the gardens of Emmanuel Liais (former mayor of Cherbourg, astronomer and lover of botany) bring together a surprising variety of plants and exotic trees.
Also worth visiting are the two greenhouses located in the park which hold more that 500 types of rare plants.

Walk through the ancient medieval town, marked by the One Hundred Years’ War, and complete your tour by viewing the remnants of the cité walls.
> L’Abbaye du Vœu
Visit the old kitchens, the cellar and the chapter house of the Abbey constructed in the twelfth century at the request of Queen Mathilde ; also see priest William’s tomb, which dates back to the thirteenth century.Meeting in front of the main entrance, every Sunday at 2:30 PM.
