The Station Nautique Cherbourg-Hague During the Paris International Water Sports Show, on the 6th of December, 1997, the Town of Cherbourg and the Hague District acquired the qualification "Station Voile", named "France Station Nautique".
The Station Nautique Cherbourg-Hague, managed by the association bearing the same name, is responsible for the promotion and development of sports and tourist activities linked to sea and wind related sports on the land and coastal regions of the Town of Cherbourg and the Hague District.
The two locations form a water sports area with its particularities and diversified spaces.
The Station Nautique Cherbourg-Hague includes a rich variety of environments ; a coast composed of imposing cliffs, the Nez de Jobourg, the Urville-Nacqueville beaches, the Biville Dunes, rocky creeks as well as havens protected from water currents and wind.
The goal of the Station Nautique Cherbourg-Hague is to federate the "Sea and Wind" associations and private companies specializing in water sports and tourism ; to improve existing services to tourists and to create new ones new services under a sports and discovery pass scheme.
