The 49th Tall Ships’ Race
The most beautiful sailing ships in the world

 

the US coast guard vessel, The Eagle and her three-masted sister ships, the Sagres II (90 m, Portugal) and the Mircea (83 m, Roumania), the Norwegian full rigged ship, the Christian Radich, the Alexander Von Humboldt famous for her green sails, and the Bulgarian Kaliakra, a barkentine built in the shipyards of Gdansk.

The Tall Ships’ Race begins in Waterford, Southern Ireland, and takes in Cherbourg (France) and Newcastle (UK) before finishing in Fredrikstad in Norway.
